Summary of Playing Statistics

Riyas was best bowler based on overall rank for average, strike-rate and economy.  By this measure, Richie Leach is second, Nick Hill third and we have 7 players with averages of 20 or less.  Nick Turner bowled the most overs (72).

Nick Hill is the statistician’s best-bat nominee with an average of 143; Ronnie Khan is second best, but a long way behind on 47.

Most catches were taken Scooby Williams (6) and there were two stumpings this year after none last.

Jon Steward seems to have played the most matches after batting 12 innings, down from 21 in 2016.

Batting

Qualification: 2 innings.

Nick Hill nails this year’s award but Tom Chapman made the most runs in the season, the most 50s and his personal top score for the club (102).  Our Duckman award for two ducks each goes jointly to Riyas (again!), Nick Turner, David Hartley and Jon Steward.
