Whitchurch-on-Thames Cricket Club

This year’s AGM will take place at Dave's place on Thursday 1 March starting at 8:00pm.  To be followed by a beer and a curry.  All welcome. Pre-Season Nets They’ve already started!!  Every Sunday evening from 6:15pm to 7:15pm at Bradfield School Sports Complex .   All welcome. £3 per session for adults; juniors and students free. 2012 Fixtures Although there are still a few gaps to fill, the Fixture List for the new Season is now available (see link above).  We start the Season at Lower Earley on Sunday, 15 April – less than two months to go!! Lyn NEW PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.  IF YOU KNOW SOMEBODY WHO WANTS TO PLAY CRICKET, DON’T HESITATE TO INVITE THEM TO NETS.

Everyone associated with the club will be saddened to read that Miles Whitelock, our President and long-time owner of the ground, has died.  The village website made the announcement on Friday. Our condolences and best wishes go to his family at this difficult time.

Andy, Great addition to the website which I am sure will be very useful for members to post ideas, views and general comments about the club, games, match reports, training, facilities, etc. I'm sure there will also be the occasional outburst and witty comment! Happy Blogging

A provisional fixture list for 2012 (thank you, Alan Kilford) is now on the website (see above). I've also done a bit of work on the website itself, which maybe better or maybe worse, but should at least be a lot easier to update in future. Happy new year.
