Losses to Cookham Dean & Blewbury

Saturday: Despite playing much of the match with either 9 or 10 players (don't ask), Whitchurch were well placed at drinks, with Cookham Dean 90 for 5 off 19 overs. However some sluggish fielding in the sun let them get away. Finally, posting 212 for 9, or was it 212 for 14 (don't ask).  Despite some good lower order slogging (yes it was) Whitchurch were all out for 150.

Sunday:  Similar Problem With Drink(s) on Sunday  Despite Mark Burton taking 4 wickets and the rest of Whitchurch's attack persevering right to the end on a very warm day, a good Blewbury batting line up amassed a considerable 241 in their 35 overs.  With runs from Nick Hill (80) and Jack Gregory (39) Whitchurch were up with the run rate - 124 for 1 - when drinks came out after 19 overs.  Unfortunately, losing all ability to drive after drinking that much, both Nick and Jack soon lost their wicket and Whitchurch their momentum.  Whitchurch eventually scrambled passed 200 with the last ball of the match, losing by 41 runs.
